ANGELS International is a women-owned, U.S.-registered non-governmental organization founded by a diverse group of highly skilled Afghan and American professionals with more than 15 years of combined experience across humanitarian, development, and government sectors in Afghanistan and the United States.
Our founders have worked extensively with U.S. government institutions, international organizations, and global partners. Following the rapidly changing political environment in Afghanistan, they were compelled to leave their homeland and resettle in the United States. Despite this displacement, their commitment to humanitarian service not only continued but deepened.
While rebuilding their lives in the U.S., the founders directly observed persistent gaps in access to education, employment, healthcare, and professional development among Afghan and broader immigrant communities. These realities inspired the establishment of ANGELS International—a platform dedicated to empowerment, inclusion, and opportunity creation through practical action, compassion, and collaborative leadership.
Registered in Tennessee, ANGELS International is committed to advancing humanity, health, and hope by bridging communities and expanding access to opportunity for those most in need. Grounded in lived experience and professional expertise, the organization implements programs in community empowerment, healthcare access, education, women’s leadership, and refugee and immigrant integration, with a strong emphasis on elevating women’s voices in leadership and decision-making.
